Sometimes I find myself wasting time complaining about things that I just can’t change.

Example: School Bureaucracy

We could talk all day about what’s wrong with the education system. 

What good does this complaining and talking do? We have so many more important tasks to accomplish that we have control over.  I’d much rather talk about the goodness of the Lord.

The Word: 

And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness [and] of thy praise all the day long.  Psalm 35:28

This prayer comes to mind:

The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity

To accept the things

I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.
